Quick Start
Get started with ScriptCompiler in minutes. Load a porn video, create your first funscript, and test it with The Handy or other devices.
This guide covers the essential workflow for creating a funscript. In a few minutes you will know how to load a video, add action points, and save your work.
Step 1: Open the App
Navigate to scriptcompiler.com in your browser. ScriptCompiler works in all modern browsers. Chrome or Edge are recommended for full feature support including Bluetooth device connectivity.
Step 2: Install the Bridge (optional)
The ScriptCompiler Bridge is a small background app that enhances ScriptCompiler with additional capabilities:
- Browse and load videos from a folder on your computer
- Enhanced Script Sniper and Music Scripter performance via native processing
- Scene detection for automatic chapter creation
Script Sniper and Music Scripter work without the Bridge using in-browser processing. The Bridge provides improved performance and is required for the Local Video Library and Scene Detection. You can always install it later.
Step 3: Load a Video
Click the folder icon in the header to open the file manager, or drag a video file directly onto the editor. The file manager has three tabs:
- Local File - Open any file on your computer
- Local Videos - Browse your video folder (requires Bridge)
- Stash Library - Browse your Stash server (requires Stash configured in Settings)
Once loaded, the video appears in the player. ScriptCompiler supports MP4, WebM, and OGG formats. MP4 is recommended.
Step 4: Add Action Points
You can add points with or without a video loaded. There are two ways:
Click on the Timeline
Click anywhere on the timeline canvas to add a point at that time and position. The horizontal axis is time, the vertical axis is position (0 at the bottom, 100 at the top).
Draw in the Drawing Panel
Click the drawing panel on the right to capture your cursor, then move the mouse up and down while the video plays. Points are created continuously as you draw. Press Ctrl to stop drawing and release the cursor.
Step 5: Preview Your Work
Press Space to play the video. The playback cursor moves through the timeline showing how your points will execute.
For a more realistic preview, open the Device Emulator from the tools panel. It uses physics simulation to show how a real device would handle your script, including speed and acceleration limits.
Step 6: Save Your Script
Press Ctrl + S to save, or use File
then Save As from the menu. The script downloads as a .funscript
file to your downloads folder.
Name the file to match your video for automatic script loading in most
players. For example, if your video is MyVideo.mp4, name
the script MyVideo.funscript.
