What is ScriptCompiler?

ScriptCompiler is a professional web-based editor for creating, editing, and managing funscripts. It provides a full set of tools for precise script authoring, from basic point editing to AI-powered motion tracking and beat-synchronized generation.

It runs entirely in your browser with no installation required. For advanced features like motion tracking, scene detection, and local video browsing, you can install the optional ScriptCompiler Bridge app.

What are Funscripts?

A funscript is a JSON file containing a series of timed action points. Each point has a time value in milliseconds and a position value from 0 to 100. When played back through a compatible player with a connected device, the device moves in sync with the video.

File format
Funscript files use the .funscript extension and contain JSON with an actions array. Each action has an at property (time in ms) and a pos property (position 0-100).

The Bridge

The ScriptCompiler Bridge is a lightweight background application for Windows that runs alongside the web editor. It gives ScriptCompiler access to your local file system and provides enhanced performance for features like motion tracking and audio analysis.

It is entirely optional. You can create and edit scripts without it, including Script Sniper and Music Scripter which work directly in the browser. The Bridge enhances these features with native performance and is required for the Local Video Library and Scene Detection.
